We will leave the entrance to Ras Ali on the concrete path towards the northeast, cross the Zippori Stream on a bridge, and continue on the concrete path (now marked with green trail markings), along the right bank of the stream, with Ras Ali Village above us. We are in the horseshoe, walking in the heart of a wide valley dotted with plots of traditional/local agriculture. When the concrete path (and the stream) curves south, we will see Aliil Mill, to which we will ascend after crossing the streambed on a bridge to the right bank. Immediately after the bridge, we will leave the concrete path and climb to the mill, from which the path is short to the entrance from which we started.
- Optional – Climb to Tel Heli Lookout: Before the concrete trail curves south, it meets a road going north (at the intersection of the trails there is a sign directing you to Tel Heli Lookout). We climb the road until we reach another sign directing you to the trail going west to Tel Hali, from which a horseshoe is visible in every exclusion And above it is the village of Ras Ali. The descent from the lookout back to the concrete path is a bit steep, and requires caution. (The route that includes this option is 3.7 km long and of medium difficulty)
