Creating a place

As part of the restoration work at Nahal Tzipori, extensive community activity is taking place to create a sense of belonging and connection to the place – placemaking. Placemaking is actions in the field that connect people, the environment, and identity and create a living, shared, and meaningful space. Initiatives such as collecting local stories, creating community mosaics, and establishing traditions of local events are designed to deepen the connection between residents and the stream. The activities incorporate cultural and educational values, and invite the entire community to be an active partner in shaping the space.
